Ellie is the ex-most popular girl at . After pretending to be gay and emo for half a year, she came out as not actually emo but actually gay. Everyone thinks that that's a weird fucking thing to do. So Ellie's social life has turned a little upside down since then. Now, she's in the middle of regaining her footing : no longer the it-girk, just a kid who knows her worth — or at least, she's looking to find it again.

Thus begun their rebellious streak in their very last year of high school. June kisses their girlfriend Ellie in public, and sneaks out with their friends to watch local punk shows, and wears what they want even if it's unorthodox or "not very ladylike", and stays up late reading fanfiction underneath the covers, and plays drums when their parents complain about the noise, and laughs louder than they've ever allowed themself to laugh before. They and their best friend Sadie are thinking of going out of province for uni and maybe starting a band.
